TRAMS

The No. 28 tram is one of the most popular, starting from Martim Moniz and going to the traditional district of Graça, and the beautiful monastery of São Vicente de Fora. It continues through Alfama, past the picturesque streets and squares of medieval Lisbon, such as Rua das Escolas Gerais and Largo das Portas do Sol (a beautiful viewpoint over the river) and further up towards the São Jorge Castle.

Descending towards the Baixa, it passes Lisbon Cathedral and the Church of Saint Anthony, the patron saint of the city. The tram then climbs Chiado hill, stopping almost in front of the famous café "A Brasileira".

Other trams such as Nos. 7, 18 or 25 are also good ways to get to know some of the most interesting parts of Lisbon.
