Poncha is a traditional drink made from honey, sugar cane brandy and lemon juice. The bartenders have transformed it into a pleasant cocktail, adding various flavours like passion fruit, mandarin and cherry. This movement started in the fishing town of Câmara de Lobos and spread to Funchal and now exists across the whole island. A new approach to this tradition was adopted and the result is such that no one should contemplate visiting Madeira without trying its famous poncha.
