Raise a toast with our Santa’s Cocktail
Created at the hotel PortoBay Flores by Barman João Félix, Santa's Cocktail is made with a Port wine base and is sure to transport your taste buds to the Invincible City of Porto. We added some Christmassy flavours like ginger, cranberry and egg white to remind you of snowflakes, and finished off beautifully with cranberry flavouring.
Here are some step-by-step instructions so that you can recreate this cocktail and surprise the whole family at Christmas time.
First of all you will need a shaker, a sieve, a strainer and a cocktail glass.
- 45 ml vodka
- 30 ml Cockburn’s Ruby
- 30 ml grapefruit juice
- 20 ml cranberry and ginger purée
- 1 egg white
For the decoration:
- Candy cane
- Cranberry flavouring
- Red sugar
Let's get started!
Stick the red sugar around the rim of a cocktail glass and set aside. To make sure the sugar sticks properly to the glass, press a lime around the rim before you add the sugar.
Then mix all ingredients in the shaker with ice and repeat again without ice. Fine strain and pour into the cocktail glass decorated with sugar, and place the candy cane in it. Before serving, finish off with two sprinkles of cranberry flavouring at the table. Now taste!!
