The HOPE by PortoBay solidarity campaign was created from the desire to give back to the communities in the destinations where the group operates.
For every stay at a PortoBay hotel in Portugal, a contribution of €1 per room is automatically added to the guest’s extras bill, and it can always be removed if the guest does not agree. PortoBay matches this amount with its own contribution. The funds raised are distributed annually to organisations in the Portuguese destinations where the PortoBay group is present.
PortoBay also supports associations directly by donating daily meals to people experiencing homelessness through CASA, and by helping to grant the wishes of children and young people with serious illnesses through the Make-A-Wish Portugal foundation.
The HOPE by PortoBay project is communicated to PortoBay guests in a clear and consistent way via www.portobay.com, as well as through videos, newsletters, blog articles, pre-stay emails and other channels, ensuring transparency in how each euro is used.
