PORTOBAY CLASSIC TALENTS

On 28 February and 1 March, the hotel The Cliff Bay and the resort Vila Porto Mare will host PortoBay Classic Talents, a special concert featuring Jéssica Sá on harp and Pedro Camacho on flute.

This performance aims to strengthen the connection to the culture of Madeira Island and to honour the musicians who actively contribute to the local cultural heritage.

The performers present a varied programme featuring works from different periods and musical styles.

HARP

Born on Madeira Island, began her harp studies at the Conservatório – Escola Profissional das Artes da Madeira, where she completed the Complementary Course in 2013. She continued her training at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 2016 and completing a Master’s degree in Music Education in 2018.
Throughout her career, she has taken part in several masterclasses with internationally renowned harpists and attended the HarpMasters Academy (Switzerland/Italy) in various editions. Since 2013, she has collaborated with several professional orchestras, working with different conductors, and maintains a regular collaboration with the Orquestra Clássica da Madeira.
She taught at the Academia de Amadores de Música de Lisboa and, since 2018, has been a harp teacher at the Conservatório – Escola Profissional das Artes da Madeira.

PEDRO CAMACHO
CONCERT FLUTE

Born on Madeira Island, began his flute studies at the Conservatório de Música da Madeira. He continued his training at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, where he completed both his Bachelor’s degree and his Master’s degree in Performance and Music Education, further refining his studies in France with the soloist Samuel Coles.
He has received several awards, notably First Prize at the Madeira International Young Performers Competition and Third Prize (ex aequo) at the Young Musicians Award. He has collaborated with various orchestras and has performed in recital in Portugal and abroad.
Since 2013, he has been teaching at the Conservatório – Escola Profissional das Artes da Madeira and is a member of the Orquestra Clássica da Madeira.
