The beaches at Búzios are breathtakingly beautiful. Among the best are: Geribá, Praia da Ferradura, Praia da Tartaruga, Praia João Fernando and João Fernandinho. 

Búzios has paradisical beaches where visitors can choose what most suits their preferences. The 23 beaches around the Búzios peninsula have their own identity and suit all tastes and styles. 

Geribá is the beach of choice for the younger set and attracts surfers all year round. The beaches of Tartaruga and João Fernão with their calm waters are best for small children while Ferradura offers water sports with kayaks and banana boats.

José Diagalves beach, in the Emerências Ecological Reserve, has dense vegetation that forms an access corridor to a wild stunning beach. This beach has the Rainier Kiosk which is famous for its Cone Mussels. 

The lovely little beaches of Azeda and Azedinha are surrounded by lush vegetation.
